Choosing the right Veterinarian is vital. If you don't like the Veterinarian, you have the right to go to abother until you find one you like. 

I love my Veterinarian, we have been through everything together, the good and the bad. On occassion he won't even charge me.  

What to Look for in a Veterinarian

1. Willing to listen to you and your concerns.
2. Is kind and considerate to you and your bird.
3. Discusses what he is doing or going to do.
4. Does tests and will discuss the prices.
5. Is happy to discuss a payment plan.
6. Has a good bedside manner.
7. Physically looks over your bird.
8. Has good communication skills.

1. How long have they been treating birds?
2. Are you familiar with my bird species?
3. How long have you been treating birds?
4. Do you keep birds at home?
5. Do you offer after-hours or emergency care services?
6. What are the cost of your services?
7. Do you make house calls?
8. How often do you recommend check ups?
