Choosing an Indian Ringneck
Ringnecks come in a beautiful variety of colours. The choice is yours.
Choose one that you bond with right away, it's hard choosing one when their are so many but if you choose with your gut instinct you can't go wrong.
I had a green one Rascal and now I have a yellow one, Chiquita.
Choosing a Healthy Ringneck
Bright eyes, no discharge
No discharge around the nares
They should not be wheezing or breathing heavy
If they are puffed up shaking they are sick
Nice clean bum, not matted and dirty
Nice clean looking feathers
Active and alert
Do not pick one that is vomiting - like you didn't know that
They should not have diarrhea
Colours
normal (green), white (albino), yellow (lutino), lemon & pale cream (creamino), blue, turquoise, cinnamon, cinnamon-blue, cinnamon-turquoise, grey, grey green, cinnamon-grey, turquoise-grey, and cinnamon-turquoise-grey. Colors such as the various lacewings are being found more often, and rarer colors such as cobalt as still usually found with breeders only.
